There are several single clip format and resolution sizes to purchase for final project use.
HD 8-bit Photo JPEG - 1920x1080 pixels - 23.98 frames per second (high-definition)
  • For use in HD productions at a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • The clips are provided in a flattened QuickTime format with 95% Photo JPEG compression.
  • The file size ranges from 100MB to 500MB based on the duration of a clip.
Broadcast quality NTSC (equivalent to a Digital Betacam) - 720x486 pixels - 29.97 frames per second (standard-definition)
  • For use in full-screen productions distributed for broadcast or television display viewing in countries that utilize the NTSC format – commercials, corporate videos, etc.
Broadcast quality PAL (equivalent to a Digital Betacam) - 720x576 pixels - 25 frames per second (standard-definition)
  • For use in full-screen productions distributed for broadcast or television display viewing in countries that utilize the PAL format – TV promos, corporate videos, and so on.
Royalty-free single clips only
There are several formats for purchase that are only available in royalty-free for final project use.
Med-res multimedia quality - 480x360 pixels - 15 frames per second
  • For use in productions where a full-screen display is not needed. Uses such as internet or intranet display or for layering into a full-screen project.
Lo-res web quality - 240x180 pixels - 15 frames per second
  • For use on the internet or intranet as well as mobile devices where the screen display is appropriate to accommodate this size.

File sizes for royalty-free hi-res clips range from 350K to 132MB each. Selected clips are optimized for seamless looping, and contain image mattes for easy compositing. Contact a footage sales representative for assistance selecting clips with image mattes and loopable clips.

All royalty-free clips conform to the following specifications:
  • Clips are provided in flattened QuickTime format
  • Clips range in duration from 13 frames to 30 seconds
  • Photo JPEG compressed at 95% to 100% image quality setting
